Whether you have pictures
showing the beautiful culture of your own country or other
places you have visited, take part in a virtual cultural
exchange by having your images presented for the world to
see in our World Gallery.
We are interested in pictures of people engaged in unique or
interesting cultural activities, such as festivals, arts and
crafts, or music, as well as pictures of historical sites,
scenery, and wildlife. We ask that you submit only images
with clear educational value that is consistent with the
academic standards of The World & I Online.
You may submit images to be included in either of the
following:

Country Gallery: a collection of images
that illustrates various cultural and historical aspects
of a country.
- Special Presentations: a slideshow-style
presentation with musical accompaniment that highlights
a specific country and its unique cultural heritage, or
that highlights aspects of an artistic, religious, or
other cultural tradition.

Instructions for
Submitting Photos / Music
For each image, please include 5-10 words telling
what is in the picture and the location (place name, city,
state, country). Be sure to send us the photographer’s name,
address, phone, and email address. You may also send music
from your country to accompany the images, if there are no
copyright restrictions (see “Important” below). Make sure to
include the performer’s name and contact information.

- Electronic Delivery
Options:
1. Upload images and/or music of the country (for
music, use mp3 format) to our FTP site. Be sure to
include descriptions of images. Contact us for our FTP
address and login information at
gallery@worldandi.com.
2. Email images and/or music of the country (music in
mp3 format) as attachments to
gallery@worldandi.com. Be sure to include
descriptions of images.
- Mailing Options:
1. Send us a CD/diskette with images and descriptions.
2. Send us photographs, including descriptions.
3. Send us a CD of music, including the title and
performer of each song.

without any copyright restriction or cost.
Please include the photographer or artist’s name
and contact information (phone, mail and/or
email address) for verification purposes.

accept or reject any submissions.

providers will not be held liable for any
copyright infringement resulting from any
content supplier mistakenly authorizing use of
any text, graphics, illustrations, photographs,
images, or sound. Any content supplier so doing
must indemnify The World & I Online and its
photographers, subsidiaries, affiliates, and
licensors against any losses, expenses, or
damages whatsoever incurred by any or all of
them as a result of the supplier mistakenly
authorizing use of the content and breaching
related rights.
