The Arts

The Arts page affords a valuable and variegated study of artists and artistic techniques in a broad range of fields. It is especially helpful for those enrolled in AP arts courses, and crosses the curriculum to probe the history and science of the various arts as well.

Special Collections – In the center of the Arts page is a list of Special Collections. These are collections of theme-based articles that focus on a specific unique topic pertaining to the Arts curriculum. Click on a Special Collection to be taken to a list of articles. Here is a list of links to the Special Collections:

Architecture – A survey of master builders, past and present, from around the world.

Art - Insight into the lives and works of both famous and little-known artists.

Craft & Design - Articles on a variety of crafts from around the world.

Cyber Exhibits – Showcases select exhibits from museums around the world with links to related articles in our database.

Dance – A strong focus on ballet and modern dance, with a sampling of many other styles.

Music – Reviews and analyses of the works, people, and events within the music community.

Theater – Analyses of plays and playwrights, categorized by geographical location.
