Do you
have a tutorial on how to use your site?
Yes; go to the Teacher’s Corner page and click on the Tutorial icon to be taken to our interactive tutorial. You can also access our Tutorial page via the link near the top of the homepage. Our Tutorial provides a comprehensive guide to using our site, helping you to make the best possible use of your subscription.

Are all of
your articles available online?
All articles published since January 1986 are available online, with
the exception of the few to which we do not own electronic rights.
Every month, new content is posted and the content from the previous
month’s issue is added to our archive. Click on “The World & I
eLibrary” icon on the left side of the homepage to be taken to our
archived content.

Are
all of the Teacher’s Guides available online?
Yes, all of the Teacher’s Guides since we began publishing them in
1992 are posted on our website.

What
is the reading level of WorldandISchool.com?
All contents of WorldandISchool.com are appropriate for middle and
high school students. For elementary schools, our resource has been
used primarily by teachers, but there are some new additions
suitable for students in grades 4 and above, including the World
Gallery, ESL and Spanish programs, Special Collections on Worldwide
Folktales, the Civil War and more.

Are
usernames and passwords case sensitive?
No, they are not case sensitive.

Just click “Forgot Password?” in the Login box and submit your email
address for your username and password to be sent to you
automatically. If you don’t have an email address, call toll-free

I tried to read an article in your eLibrary but couldn’t. Why not?
There are a few possible reasons. First, to view full text you need to be a subscriber. Second, if you are an individual subscriber, you may only be logged into our website from two places at a time. To view content from another location, simply sign out at your previous location. Third, you may have to enable your Cookies function, so that your computer can retain the memory of the username/password you type in. To check your Cookies function, just click on the URL below and look for the appropriate instructions.

Do you have a banner that our school can post on its homepage for

How can I
create my Teacher Access Code?
Each individual teacher can create his or her own access code; and
this can be done by clicking on the “Teacher Register” link on the
main Teacher’s Corner page. You will, however, need your
institution’s unique Subscriber Number, which you can get from your
Librarian/Media Specialist, or just call 866-211-6040 (toll-free)
and we can look it up for you.

How much does a
subscription cost?
Just click on “Subscribe” at the top of the homepage to find the
latest rates. Call toll-free 866-211-6040 to inquire about special
discount rates for new and current subscribers.

How do I renew my
subscription?
Once you are logged in, click on “Renew” in the Login box in the
upper left corner of the homepage, which will take you to a renewal
form. You can then choose the option that is best for you.

How can our school upgrade from single-user to multiple-user access
to your online site?
If you would like to upgrade to a higher-level access, you may
either check it on the renewal form from the “Renew” link in the
Login box in the upper left corner of the homepage, or call
toll-free 866-211-6040 to arrange it.

Is there a way that our school can arrange for a company or
individual to sponsor a subscription to your site?
Yes! We developed our Online Partners in Education program for that
purpose. Just click on the Teacher’s Corner icon at the top right
column of the homepage, and then click on “Sponsorship” in the lower
right area to find instructions and handy materials to use.

I couldn’t complete the process of signing up for a subscription.
Was my credit card charged?
We apologize for any problems you encountered with the subscription
process. The good news is that your credit card should not have been
charged if you could not complete the sign-up process. Please try
